No Height Available For Standoffs -- Other Options?

I just finished putting together a boost pedal, and the caps are high enough that I can't spare the space to add standoffs (I'm shoving it all in a 1290NS). So, when I close everything up, the joints on the PCB hit the shell and the whole thing grounds-out and stops.

What are some options (other than buying a taller shell) to prevent this? Maybe thin foam that's dense enough to not allow any solder joints to poke through? I think on the next one, I may just bend the caps sideways so they aren't so tall.

What are your thoughts/solutions?

I use those plastic report covers you can find at office supply places. Just cut a piece to the right size and place it in the enclosure. But really, any piece of plastic or even a thick piece of paper (like a manila folder) will work as well.

Add a little dollop of hot glue to hold the board in place if it moves around too much.

.....or,
You could mount the board with the components facing the top of the enclosure.
Sometimes you get lucky and the pots will fit between components that are sticking up over the board. :)
Sometimes, you don't get lucky.  >:(

There's an adhesive backed craft foam that you can buy at arts n' crafts stores that is easy to cut, works great and is dirt cheap for a pacakge that will last quite some. I've used it without issue for awhile now.

Looks like this stuff.
