I'm going to buy a breadboard and I wondered if anyone who has one could give me a quick comment on whether they think this one will be big enough or will I need more than one...?

Also what IC's and transistors are worth putting on my shopping list please? I'm thinking....

I think it's too small. If you are going to breadboard simple stuff it's OK, but if you move to bigger projects then you will have a problem.

Thanks for the advice CG,
Do you think getting say three and joinning them together would be a good idea?

Yes, and you can use them separately for different circuits too. I own one of the largest ones available, because I use it to test prototypes for my company. My designs aren't really big, but I want my breadboard wiring as neat as possible.

Ok. thanks that sounds good. I'll get a bigger one or a couple and join them together.
