would this circuit work well as a splitter?

All I am really looking for is a box to make my mono guitar signal into two separate (but equal) signals. If a DIY version exists already, please point me to it. I haven't had any luck searching.

Use a Y-cord. This sometimes works.

If that hums/buzzes, you need something like the GEOFEX isolated splitter.
