I got a new set of preamp tubes and have heard of the practice of burning them in for a period of time - 12 hrs. say.  I rememberd I have a Tube Works Real Tube 901 that runs a 12ax7.  Of course, I got to tweeking and had changed the horrible contact switch for another stomp type momentary - works great.  I was curious that first this pedal uses only a 2 prong cord and secong the output jack is ungrounded.  I haven't used this pedal in a while but I remember it being buzz central - no, not "fuzz central"

Would it be a benefit to use a three prong cord grounded to the chassis?  Should I ground the output?  Would I just be making a noisy pedal noisier?  Should I just keep this as my device for burning in preamp tubes?  It actually has some nice tones but the tonestack is a little strange - the HI control seems to dictate alot of the tone regardless of how the MID and LOW are set.
