Anyone feel like taking a look at the layout i just finished for an overdrive of mine and see if there's something wrong?

It's my first layout too, so don't be too harsh with me. I know the layout is big..  :D

IC1 has the 9V coming into pin1...     :o

The schematic indicates a 1OP 741 and the component list for the layout indicates a 2OP IC NE5532

Your drawings are getting better...   ;)

Thanks! Drawing with TinyCAD is so much better than by hand...  :)

I'll redo those 2 errors. I actually mixed this projects IC with another project IC that i'm doing..

Here's the new layout..

http://aronnelson.com/gallery/Magnus-Schematics/AWT_FULL_001

I changed the IC to UA741 in the parts list. The 9V you say is connected to pin 1 on the IC, isn't really connected. It's just hard to see the trace cut under one of the caps right nexr to it.  :)

Anyone feel free to try this simple design out and share their opinions..  ;)

Remove the cutmarks that do nothing!
Put C2 straight.

Obviously you've got to change this... move C4 right to the next free spot.

I like a bloke who is man enough to specify a sh*tty old 741 in his overdrive.

Hehe, someone got to do it!  :D

I've updated the layout now. R9 is not straight now, but it isn't in the way of anything else, so i suppose that will work.

D3 is wrong polarity! ( EDIT2 :   :icon_redface:  ring marks cathode... )
R9 moves to the left of R10. ( row 19 )

If you wan't to make it tighter you put C5, R5 in the free space below the IC. The output from the IC goes there anyway.

Even tighter...
C4 moves right to row 16
jumper row 12 a-c moves to row 17 ( EDIT : no, there's a cutmark under R3 )

Allright, i got it 5 rows smaller now, it looks neater too! Hope i didn't make any new mistakes this time..  ;)
