Im currenty modding a boss DS-1 into some kind of weird noise making... thing. Just a bunch of circuit bends with spdt switches, im getting some interesting fuzz tones and selfoscilation. Im not done with it yet, im still wating for my external enclosure, and am not sure how to do something that i want to include in the pedal.

The circuit reacts diferently (therefore giving me diferent sounds) when it is engaged and when its bypassed, im done with all of the Engaged bends, but I have something in mind (not sure how to do it) for the bypassed bends. When the pedal is bypassed and i touch a certain area or areas of the circuit board, i get some really weird electronic sounds, and depending on the presure i put on it, i can pitch shift. i was wondering how i could put something on the surface of the pedal that would give me acces to this, whitout having to touch the circuit board itself. Theres a youtube video

http://youtube.com/watch?v=QxPdOKv_B7Y&mode=related&search=

that has something kind of like what i want (minute 2:24), but it only has 3 contacts, im looking to include about 6 bends that respond interactively, still, i dont know how that is done, what kind of contacts are those?

Thanks in advance

I think what you`re looking for lies more in the realms of circuit-bending than Stompbox DIY. Although they do crossover (possibly not enough) I believe the basic approach to be quite different.

If you`re not already aware of the world of circuit-bending what better place to start than the beginners guide by Reed "Father of Circuit-bending" Ghazala.

There`s a bit about body contacts which specifically relates to your question. Take some time to explore the rest of his trippy website while you`re there.
