I'm designing an own high-gain distortion at the moment, and i've seen this Rocktron Metal Planet distortion pedal my friend has. It has the standard Bass, Mid and Treble controls, along with a Mid-Frequency control. I haven't been able to find the schematic, so i thought maybe you guys could point me to something similiar.

I was first thinking of the Marshall tonestack and making one of the non variable components variable. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks

That's a hell of a lot of info, thanks!

Any pedals who have a similiar tonestack which i'm looking for? would be easy, because then i could just copy it over to my circuit sort of..

Bass and treble can come from a simple tone stack - Fender type or Baxandall type. Then you will probably need this circuit to do the mids:

Nice, i see what i can do with that..

Any other examples are welcome too, since multiple choices are always good.  ;)
