The thread on amplifier classes reminded me of the Class T amps I saw on Thinkgeek, and while poking around there, I found these things: http://www.thinkgeek.com/electronics/audio/6bd8/  Not sure what sort of bandwidth these have, but they look like they could form the basis for a plate reverb unit. I wonder how well they work. While it isn't difficult to transfer sound to objects, vibration is a very big potential problem. Maybe its my years showing, but I always think of speaker systems as very strong materials making a good connection that can receive vibration very well. But at only 19.99 a piece, it couldn't hurt to try. :icon_lol:

i have a speaker here that is very close to those ones. i haven't tried it yet but the label says "Rolen Star Audio Transducer"
