Q: So when I am finished soldering resistors and capacitors on to my board I just connect them with wire on the back? I am unsure which need to be connected to which. Thanks.

i don't know if i understand correctly.
if you use a PCB or vero, don't have to do anything, if you use a perfboard follow the layout. in most cases you don't have to use wire, leads will do.
