hey there!  i have been reading old posts, trying to get ready for a project i will be working on for a while between other projects.  i've read RG saying that if all your effects are in one enclosure, then you should be good with one supply as opposed to soething like the Spyder.  that being said, would my current PS(godlyke) work fine for about 8 circuits?  also, i was wondering since i have this PS, should i use just on DC jack, or should i use multiple jacks.  reading their website they say that is delivers 1.7A @9V.  anyone who knows what i should do, please tell me.  thanks

If your 8 pedals draw anywhere near 1A I'd be surprised. Depends what the 8 pedals are though - what are they?

BMP, wah, twender, a flanger of some sort, a delay of some sort, TS,  tremolo of some sort, and an autowah. as you can see i haven't decided on exactly what some of them will be, and will probably betrying multiple types before i settle on what to use.  oh, and i would like to have an talkbox of possible but im not sure i would even use i, so im not too worried about it.  i doubt that they draw 1A either, but i also dont know if they're listing some huge amount of power just as a selling point, banking on no one ever needing that much.

the pedals probably say the current consumption on them somewhere, paralleled [which = what daisy chaining does loads simply add. Current consumption can be measured, set DMM and series it in the PS [insert between + battery post and + battery clip post.
These effects are 'low' current, 1.7@ is at least 10x rated, maybe more like 100x what those will draw when things are right.
say they all draw 10ma, that's 80ma, check my math, you'd need 20 pedal boards like that to get in the ballpark of drawing too much current.
thing is the 'delay of some sort' might be digital = higher current draw...still..nowhere near what would cause the PB current to get near 1.7@.
should i use just on DC jack, or should i use multiple jacks.
one DC jack'd do it, unless..well..some unforseeable reason to use more...
all must be Neg. Gnd. circuits.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

definitely all neg gnd circuits.  i just wanted to make sure it would be okay to use just one jack.  how should i wire up all the power inputs of all these pedals to one jack? similar to the 2 in one wiring from GGG?  it seems like it might be easier if i made a PCB  to wire them all to, and have that wired to the jack, intead of trying to solder all the wires to the tiny lugs on the jack.  if anyone has suggestions on doing that in a possibly easier way would be appreciated too.  thanks for all the answers you've given so far.

My suggestion would be individual jack for each pedal. You could make a pcb and housing with 8 output with protection for each and ground it. why? multiple jack when one is pulled the following jack has no power and make difficult to determine which is which. And in event you accidentally short the multiple jack you have 8 pedals on it.. Beside you could reverse one jack for your reverse polarity pedal but not recommended. This one i use it with dod equalizer so i don't need seperate power supply.

i was thinking about this this morning, and was wondering if i should wire all the +9V and grounds together instead of having them all individually tie to the PS jack.  my reasoning is that there wouldn't be a chance for any ground loops if they're all in series.  or would it be better to have them individually hit power?  any more insight would be great.
