High end filter

I want to build May Queen distortion and I don't know what is that high end filter?How looks?And what is his "job"?Can somebody help me?Pictures will be good...

By "high end filter" I assume you mean something that cuts out the high end (eg: lets the low end pass through)
look at that little schematic on the right -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low-pass_filter#Examples_of_low_pass_filters
The formula for getting the cutoff frequency is given on there too (cutoff freq = 1/(2*pi*R*C))

for a high-pass filter just reverse cap and resistor

edit: ah, looked up the May Queen schem, whats going on there with the red capacitor works in a slightly different manner to my understanding

the "high cut" capacitor runs high frequencies to the power supply (which is ground for AC).
Brian recommends starting with 0.0022 uF (and working upwards until any annoying high frequencies are eliminated).
If you don't want to have to experiment, I suggest you just use a 0.0047 uF cap.

Now I have two types of .0047.One is 2N472K and other 2N472J.What's better?
