Hey guys, I have a Fulltone Chorlflange that I had been powereing up with the supplied regulated 9V adaptor. However, recently I got rid of all my adaptors and bought a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 to power up everything. I noticed however that the Choralflange doesn't sound as lush and the flange setting doesnt do anything at all when Im using the Voodoo to power it up. i went back to the adaptor and it sounds good again. I even tried it with a battery and the battery sounds better that the Pedal Power 2. Whay do you think this is happening???

take a digital meter and measure the voltage your brick is putting out and the voltage your old adapter is putting out. chances are, the adapter is putting out slightly lower voltage, probably in the neighborhood of 8.5 to 9.2 volts, whereas the voodoo is probably putting out a clean 9 to 9.8 volts. this is pretty common, as even power adapters have tolerances. a change in voltage will affect headroom and circuit performance, and some pedals it is more noticeable than others.
