I just bout three of these at Target.  1$ a piece.  They have a lid just like a mint box or a full size lucnh box.  See the auction link below for actual size.  Again, they were at my local Target.  They also had a couple other candies in the same type box (Warheads, Now 'n Laters..)

I wonder how they stand up to being stomped on?

Don`t forget to mention the convenient carrying feature...handle that is.

I wouldn't go stompin' on 'em unless you somehow added some type of reinforcement to the top of the box.

"conveninan carrying feature being the lid".  Now that's funny!

Yeah, doesn't look too stompable, but if you hollow out a piece of wood so the switch is inside the wood, and the wood block exactly fills the space from top to bottom, and you have a washer to distribute the stomp force onto the wood, youcould probably get away with it.

i saw these the other day and almost bought one but the reason i couldnt bring myself to do it was because the metal on the sides was so flimsy i figured the jacks would tear out after repeated unplugging, and it couldnt be "stomped" like some enclosures.

At that point, wouldn't it be easier to build a wood enclosure and shield it with copper or aluminum tape?
I will quietly resist.

I built one of these using the Sugar Daddy box.
Came out great. Stronger than you think, though I have small strips of metal I am going to use to reinforce it. But as of now, my rangemaster build works great in it.

I am not responsible for your imagination.

You know looking at this I bet it would be cool for something like an LPB2 or a Volume Box or something that you just don't stomp on. Maybe a knob or two but something that basically stays on all the time like a line driver or something.

Cool.
My Momma always said, "Stultus est sicut stultus facit".
She was funny like that.

actually, i stepped on that one about a million times. pretty hard. never bent. it is a very small surface area, so harder to buckle than you would think.
