I've been studying the Remote Footswitch Bypass materials on Geo and I plan on taking a stab at this. But, I'd like to add a bank of switches that would work as program channels, i.e. turn on more than one pedal.

I don't really need to be able to program the order of the pedals, the delay will always be after the wah, etc. etc. Way too much work to do it mechanically and I don't have the skills to do this electronically. So what I figured is I'd have several "master" switches that would allow the individual triggers to connect to them via DIP switches or something similar. That part seems pretty straight forward and modeling it in SPICE reveals no problems even with the circuit I drew up to emulate the worlds bounciest switch...

Here is where I'm getting tangled up. Obviously there is a little more to this than just triggering multiple hex inverters with a program switch. Some pedals already assigned to that program switch may already be on, and therefore would be switched on. Other pedals that aren't assigned may be on and you'd want to turn those off.

It seems to me the easiest thing would be to have a circuit that triggered the "bypass all" circuit before turning on the pedals assigned to the master. Not sure the best way to do this. I've been trying to play around with using a LM555 timer for doing the trigger trying to figure out how to send out one pulse to trip the bypass, and a delayed pulse to turn on the pedals associated with the program switch...I confess I've not worked with a 555 before and I'm floundering a bit. Research on the 'net has not revealed the necessary info to me...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!
