Greetings all,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a program to draw schematics?

Thanks in advance!

I've been using ExpressSCH and it works very well for me. It's easy to use and it's easy to create your own custom symbols.

Eagle is free for the trial / student version and more than enough for anything pedal related. There are component files specific to our craft (search around here) and it is integrated with a PCB layout program that any board house can deal with.

I just paid the very small sum and use "DesignWorks Lite" for the Macintosh.

I use Altium designer. It's not too easy to understand everything, but I love it. It's really proffesional!

ExpressSCH, as soulsonic mentioned, has worked well for me in the past.

I believe it was stm who recommended this program to me:
Spectrum Software Micro-Cap 9

The evaluation version is free, doesn't expire, and is available from the menu on the left- it's limited compared to the full version, but just fine for most DIY-type stuff, and I like the look of it.
An example is stm's BB&E (click).

Aron,

Have you loaded this yet?  It doesn't have any capacitors in the component library!

I only ran it once. I am trying to find my old files for spice which I ran on my XP computer. I use that Design Works Lite for most things or paper!

I'm re-downloading it now to check it out.
