DOD OD 250 build observation and question

All,

I just finished building the 77 Grey DOD 250 and the 80's Yellow 250, and I discovered something that surprised me (as a newbie anyway).  I socketed the diodes on both builds, and I accidentally left outthe diodes on the yelllow version, and it still worked, and sounded pretty damn good!  Which leads me to my next question:

All this scientific discovery has made me want to try a 6 way rotary switch to let me choose between different sets of diodes such as LED's, GE, SI, etc.

I've done this before with input caps, but I'm concerned that the signal will do a "U turn" due to parallel diodes of opposite polarity on each lug of the rotary switch.  I'm sure someone here has done this before, so could someone point me in the right direction of a schematic or layout that might enlighten me?

Muchas gracias amigos!

Hi, here is a link with some info. http://www.storm-software.co.yu/diy/index.php?project=flexi_clip

I know there have been posts here about diode switches but I did a search and didn't find any.

Thanks for the help Dave!

I searched also and didn't find anything of relevance.
