Okay, so now, it is making a HUGE annoying humming screech like sound. I have 2 led's in the FB loop and the both light up, if i take one out, the pitch goes higher, and if i take both out the pitch goes even higher. The gain knob controls the pitch as well. What is happening here? And how do I fix it. Im starting to wonder what the deal is that I cant even breadboard a tube screamer

Yeah -- I think your circuit is probably oscillating.

This is usually caused by (I'm sorry to say) wiring errors.  Check to make sure that you don't have something feeding back to the non-inverting input that shouldn't be.

thank you, but I actually fixed it. The opamp was bad? Haha I replaced the opamp, for no good reason and it fixed it. I was just about to unbreadboard it and start over when I decided in desperation to try replacing the transistors. This did nothing. Then for kicks i decided trying a different opamp. And it worked. I'm positive this was it, and that I didn't just bump wires, as when I put the broken chip back in, it oscilated again

Who Knows
