triode + neon + volts = tremolo?

no JJ - one is a ruby, one is PM, one is unmarked (made in china) but identical to the ruby. all were pulled from amps as working but bad, all rattle to some degree, and all died on the same side (pins 6, 7, , which was the gain-side of the circuit. the other half of each still happilly oscillators.

that Rev 0.1 circuit is also lacking the depth control, but seeing as I didn't get time to fit it, I forgot to draw it.
