TS808 Tone Control Not Working

Hi there,

just build my first TS808 (It was time... I know).  The tone control worked fine when not in the enclosure and now the pedal is working (Level and Gain) in it's enclosure but not the tone pot... ?? wondering what could cause that, the wiring is good and I changed nothing when I put it in...?

it might be grounding out on the bord maybe? does it work when the back is off of it?

everything works fine except the tone control... and it worked before I put it in.  I removed the pot from the enclosure to see if it would work but no changes... ??

sounds like a blown Potentiometer to me.  It happen to my a couple times.  try subing the pot

Measure the resistance across the two outer lugs.  If it's 0 or close to that, it's likely blown.  Check to see that the leeds to the lugs aren't sticking up such that they will contact the body of the pedal. 

Also, remove the other pots and try it.  I've grounded just about everything when putting work in an enclosure, but never blew anything.

Got it thanks... I don't know what was shorting, I checked everything, could be a small blob of solder that got off when I rehoused it.  I guess that's what you get when you try to cramp things up...
