Adding 9v power supply jack?

I've been building some of the different perf and vero pedals in the gallery lately and every one i've built is layed out for a battery snap. Can I simply replace the battery snap with a 9v adapter jack so I can power it along with my other pedals? I did search this and came up empty handed.
