Replaced r35 and r36 with a 100 k trimpot and adjusted it . The best result were reached with the trimpot  out of the  middle , more than I would have thought.
It sounds okay but would like some reference clips.
I still think it should sound deeper than it does right now.

Alf, maybe i was misleading but you should have at least a 200k trimpot in there.  This way the resistance from the outer lugs to the wiper will each be something close to 100k.  What R.G. had suggested was using 82k or some similar value for the resistors and a 50k trimpot connecting to the end of each resistor and then the wiper connected to the n pad.  It's possible this is why you're not getting enough depth.  Give that a shot.

You said something about it making A/C hum there is a way to get around this . If you get a danelectro wall wart open it up and change the LM7809 for a lm7815 you can use it instead of the ac wall wart you can then by pass the bridge rectifier as well if you want. Just take note as to witch way the + and - is on the rectifiers output or I'm sure you can leave it..

Walrus, i just had a quick question about the above.  Is there less noise and/or hum if you use a dc adapter rather than an ac?

One other thing I found was that the 100K volume pot kills allot of the swirly liquid sound try unsoldering the ground wire on the volume pot and see if it helps It may also give you some more bottom but I think its the LDR's you are using that is causing the bottom end problem.. For the ac DC I would put the pedal in a enclosure before switching the power supply.. If it is still noisy after you have it in the enclosure then you can change it.. mine is noisy as well but I have it laying on a chair and if the soldering iron is on it is relay buzzy.
I don't have any way of putting up sound clips sorry..

I use 250K pot for the volume.

I detached the ground wire on the volume pot.  This did help with some of the noise.  I've still yet to box this up as i'm waiting on a couple of 'c' boxes to arrive.  I'm definately going to experiment with different light boxes and the positioning of the ldrs.  Ithink you're absolutely correct about this being a crucial part of the sound.  I would like to be able to get the sound posted here: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=54665.0 if possible.   :icon_biggrin: :icon_cool:

My neovibe sounds just like the one in the sound clips and I mean to a tee dude..I will post a pic of my light box and LDR,s.

Thanks Walrus! I'm going to change the positioning of my ldrs to match yours.  That light box looks similar to mine, except mine is made of brass shim and i lined the inside with aluminum foil.  Ialso have some aluminum very thin metal strip i may try and make a box out of that like yours...i'm going to try a few things.  I'll let you know how it works out.  I'm also waiting on a 250k pot.  I know you said that made a big difference as well as far as the swirly sounds went.

Thanks again!!!

The 100K just filters out to much signal you should of noted some more swirly sound as soon as you un hooked the ground wire.. I need to order some switches and my enclosure so I can finish this thing and get it off my chair. Hay check you email man I sent you one.
