Rangemaster Dc wiring jack

I Am using markMs layout for the board and this diagram for the dc powering http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/diagrams/geb_rm_lo_pp.gif but when i plug in the dc adaptor i get nothing. it works fine with a battery and turns on when the guitar is plugged into it. I am i missing somethin simple?

are you using a bi polar (positive and negative) supply or just a positive supply negative ground
the rangemaster is a pnp circuit which means its needs a negative power supply and must be positive ground
is your using a negative ground supply, then it wont work
