1s1588 Diodes

Just want to verify....  do 1s1588 come with a blue band on one end?  Are the all like that, or do some look identical to 1n914's?  I've got some that I can't verify since they look just like every other 914/4148 I've got and these have no markings!  Thanks for any help.

1s1588s should have a blue band, the only way to be sure they are 1s1588s is to get them from a reputable supplier.  Even if a diode has a blue band, it doesn't guarantee its a 1s1588.       (I won't even get into the hairy subject of whether a 1n4148 sounds the same as a 1s1588...)
