Which Zener diodes for the Mosfet boost?

I have two possible diodes listed in the instructions sent to me with the PCB, but I already have some Zener diodes, which read X85C9V1C. Since they also are 9.1V, would they be ok to use in this circuit? Thanks!

That diode should be fine I would think.

9.1v is the correct one yes

  Depends on the mosfet.
  Probably one of the 20v mosfet gates, ie breaks at ~20v.
  Static discharge while handling can easily do that, 'careful' they say while handling.
  Gate voltage stays well under 9.1v in that circuit.

yeah, like it was pretty obvious to what your building i knew as soon as i saw mosfet and zener diode
