I've been trolling through mousers website all day. :o

I was hoping maybe someone with some experience with cmos opamps could help me.

Basically I need something that will operate up to within 100mV of the positive rail or closer.
Lowest possible offset.
Low power (should be a given with cmos i think)
work with a 9V supply.
Dual and quad DIP package.
Under $1 each @ 100 qty would be nice as well..

 :ohmmmm TLV series looks interesting

I would have said TLC2262 /2272 but they are not $1 each !!
CA3160 ... output able to swing within 10mV of either supply rail .... hmm single DIP package.

I actually got impatient and ordered the TLV opamps to experiment with.  I had noticed the TLC opamps, but when reading the datasheet i saw the offset was listed as 300... I of course didnt notice that the units listed were uV rather than mV, like most other data sheets.

And actually the tlc2262's are $1 each for 100 at mouser.

The tlc2264's are $1.14, which isnt bad for a quad, and only draw 1mA... obviously current draw would be higher under load, but still...

I just wish i had looked closer at the offset specs before i ordered the tlv's... oh well.  I'll get some tlc's next time  :)
