Is there a DIY or work-a-like version floating here? I did some searching and came up with the line drive service manual which is so hard to read its almost unusable. the address to that is url]http://www.godiksennet.com/images/sch/TC_dist_boost.pdf[[/url]

Thanks!

Wouldn't that be nice eh?
I had one of them but it was stolen. A great pedal indeed.

Well, the trickiest part from what I can see is the noise suppression feature.  Everything else seems fairly straighforward.  How good or necessary was the noise suppression aspect?

I can't recall utilizing it that much, if at all. The design and build qaulity of that pedal was such that it operated resonably quiet anyway.
Actually, I only used it for clean boosting my little guitar soloey thingy's. The interesting thing about that pedal for me was it demonstrated quite convincingly what i consider to be the benefits of buffering, or as they called it, 'line driving'. Even though my use of the pedals clean boosting capabilities was limited, it proved indispensible forme just having it in my chain.
