I assume the TIP is positive (+) and the sleeve is negative(-), as i want to adapt my PSU which has a number of 2.1 barrel plug outlets to provide an output for a single dod pedal.
Can somebody confirm this or tell me otherwise please?
Thanks

This was exactly the question I ask before.. I only got one DOD FX40b and it said reverse polarity on the instruction manual the rest is Boss and Ibanez which are the same configuration. I never use a battery, what I do is I bought a http://www.epektos.com/product/f95b82f1-1f97-4ec3-a43a-c256894a58d4.aspx  DC power jack and cut use the battery terminal clip and bore a hole and it's battery cover. I'm now sure that the battery wire red one is positive and the black is negative. which is now the same with the rest of the boss and ibanez :icon_biggrin:

that had occurred to me but i don't want ruin the pedal by modification in case i want to sell it later. I have seen dc supplies advertised for use with old dod pedals that state the tip is positive, but i need to confirm this before going ahead. mine is a newish used fx65 chorus pedal. I could could go to the effort of dismantling the thing if necessary and trace back the supply polarity from battery to jack, but if i can avoid this by somebody telling me what it is that would be a great help

Hey! that chorus is amazing! I modded a couple of them, including my band's pseudo singer (he's so baaaad...). The polarity is positive in the point (+9V), negative on the ring (if you had a ohmeter, justo measure it's resistance between this side and the negative contact of the battery snap, with the pedal input connected). No way you can fail!

I wish I could have a Ce-2 and a FX65, both sound great and a bit different.

thanks for that slideman82 - by the way how have you modded the chorus?
