Rangemaster Bias-er....

Well I have several germaniums that I wanted to bias for a rangemaster, hoping to find a diamond in the pile of germanium , so I built this tester, Im probably going to upgrade it with a breadboard tester, as the turret board is fine, but the sockets make it a bit flimsy and difficult to have the trannys stay put while I test.
Oh and check out my new variable DC output PS!, my dad gave me this last summer, yea!, no more using batteries to test...
Is there anything else I could use on the turret board besides the sockets to hold the transistor?
I would love to use it that way if I could upgrade the sockets....
