the rebote delay i built seems to have to much gain and treble boost compaired to the bypassed signal. has anybody experienced this ? . The components check out ok and it  works really well apart from this minor problem. If it's normal i will add a couple of presets to adjust gain and tone.

There must be something wrong somewhere, the circuit shouldn't add any gain. The clean sound just goes through 2 inverting buffers and they don't increase the volume at all.

I'd double check the values of the 510k and 24k resistors, if you've got an incorrect value for one of those then you might have made one of the buffers into an booster.

I can't comment on too much treble,  but mine is above unity also.  I've been planning on adding a volume adjustment on the end of mine to bring it down some.

Hi
Problem solved, it appears that the delay was slightly overloaded by my 12ax7 preamp which should have been the last in the chain. If its put before that it sounds normal. I would have expected it to distort rather than increase in gain and treble though.
