I finally built this today after having a PCB for it lying around for the last six months and all I can say is Wow!  This thing sounds pretty much exactly like my old two-channel DR, which makes me wonder if anyone has built multiple Dr. B's into one enclosure to allow for channel switching.  Maybe it would be possible (though certainly very messy) to set up switches to multiple sets of pots.  Perhaps a second PCB that would have the connections to the pots and one switch to toggle between them?  Maybe I'm totally oversimplifying this, but it would be pretty cool.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone that developed this awesome project.  Thanks folks!

did you try changing the first coupling cap to 3.3nF or so?
if not.. try it :D!!

Just like a DR, huh?

I need to build this pedal for when I want to rock out the Dream Theater.

Good to hear - I love the sound of my old one, but I'm building Gaussmarkov's due to the overwhelming responses of the quality of sound.

I felt the same way, so I picked up a larger case for my new DB; it has a footswitch for a separate gain control and a footswitch for an internal midrange pot set to 'scoop'. Two totally separate Dr. Boogey's in a rackmount with all the knobs would be a big project, but if it's what YOU want, go for it; one or two alternate controls (mids, gain or treble) to footswitch to was all I needed.

I'm working on the Gauss model as well, and I have a quick question... I'm having trouble finding a 2.5K Linear pot that's not ridiculously expensive. Will a 2K or a 5K work?

How about making 2, put them both in one enclosure. Have switch1 go between bypass/switch2 .  And with switch 2 you choose between the 2 Dr. Bs

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

Use a 5K pot with a 5K (or 4.7) wired across the outer lugs of the pot.
Resistors in series divide, resistors in series add.

Er....
In series = add
In parallel = divide

or better...
read about resistors and caps and its properties...
