Gristeleizer = EHX Qtron + EHX Pulsar?

Hello,

After spending a lot of time to build (and tune...) a Gristleizer i saw that it is made from an envelope filter (like EHX Qtron) and a tremolo with 4 wave shapes (almost EHX Pulsar which has only 2 wave shapes).
It's that true?

Thx a lot!

To me, the 'neatest' thing, is switching from filter to trem, with a couple of caps & resistors!
Also impressive - the original designer Roy Gwinn was only 16 when he published it :icon_eek:

(and, no net to help him... think how it would have been, designing fx back then... )

ok paul...but without the  two tricks (switching tremolo/filter and the age of roy) that you mentioned above, there are more differences?

Paul Perry (Frostwave)

Well there isn't an envelope filter in the Gristleizer (at least, not the original one).
Possibly the filter configuration may be similar to the Qtron - but I haven't checked.

Good God, man, they must have used their....brains, and.....uh....pencils...
....the humanity!

Just feeling a bit old, Paul  :icon_wink:

Well, I use a pen - and other people's brains... there's an up and a down side to every technological and social change, especially the net. One just has to try to make the most of it & resist the bad. For example, has the time I save (looking for schematics, buying components, finding data sheets etc) been wasted (and more!) on watching UK comedy snippets on YouTube??
Admittedly, I have sold boxes to Malta and Denmark this week - impossible without the net.
