DIYers,
Here's the details
No mods. only I used 2.3k micro trimmer which I believe has no problem, I can't find 2k.

Power Supply Reg = 9.37v

IC
pin1 - nc
pin2 - 0.61v
pin3 - 0.63v
pin4 - 0v
pin5 - 1.42v  my 500k is set to full conter-clockwise when set to full clockwise = 6.48v
pin6 - 2.81v
pin7 - 9.36v
pin8 - nc

Q1 = C- 9.14  B-2.03  E- 1.55
Q2 = C- 7.14  B-2.81  E- 2.22
Q3 = C- 9.22  B-0      E-0
Q4 = C- 9.22  B-0      E-0
Q5 = C- 9.36  B-9.22  E- 8.78

What should be the Vb voltage between  56k and 27k ? Mine is 3.05v

I audo probe the pin2 and pin3 and pin5 there is a sound only the pin6 which is the output has no sound. I got 2 IC both the same no output on pin6, are they both defective?

Thanks in advance guys,
Roger

Anyone guys :icon_sad:
R.G., Mark Hammer, JDoyle I read your CA3080 but I can not fully grasp when it come to technical. Do the pin6 which is the output pin has audio out when using audio probe? How can I test CA3080 if good or defective.

Thanks,
Roger

I hope you get some answers! I have one that I built according to Fuzz Central and Tonepad.  I got half way through debugging it but got stuck.  I'll have to compare my voltages to yours.  Good Luck!

I'm suspecting the IC is defective but I don't know to prove or test it. I got 2pcs both same voltage reading.

Thanks Killerkev,
Roger
