I'm wanting to build a replacement footswitch for my classic Peavey tube amp.  I know I can buy a complete footswitch, but I'd like to make it myself.

Would anyone know where I could get a dome shaped enclosure such as this one?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!  :)

I don't know of anything similar that is manufactured commercially, but there have been posts here in the past showing all kinds of things from thrift stores, like sewing-machine pedals, and some things like end caps from large pipes.  How "DIY" are you willing to get?  :)

what about this?

:P just kidding... I have no idea where you could find it

You could make it out of wood, if you know someone who does wood turning!

Or a "metal spinner" can do it for you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_spinning

Thanks for the suggestions, guys!  I looked at that metal spinning site, and it sure reminded me of how brass instrument bells are made.  I never thought of using a desk bell, but I think that might work!
