TS-808 clone to bright for me

I just finished the TS-808 project, it works great, but it seems to be voiced to bright for single coils. 
My real Ibanez Tube Screamer seems to have a more even midrange.  Any suggestions on how to increase
the lows and tame the highs??

Also, you can change the .047uF capacitor in the input of the clipping amp to a .1uF to add a little more bottom end.
