First Fuzz Face ... sound ok?

Hi all.  Here's a clip of my first FF:

PAF style humbuckers > FF > soundcard

FF uses Smallbear "All American" germs, 128/170Hfe, -0.5V Q1 collector to ground, -4.5V Q2.
FF volume and fuzz both around 6.
Three phrases, each with guitar volume at 6 and 10.

I've never had an FF, so I'm not sure what it's supposed to sound like.  Did I get it right?

Considering that's straight to a sound card, it sounds pretty good.

It sounds like the clean signal isn't 100% clean, though, so, some of that fuzz could be overloading of the card??? Just a thought.

I just realized that you used germs, I was going to post a clip of my first FF that I recorded directly to the soundcard...

Oh, what the heck, here you go... (yours is creamier btw  and it will smooth out a bit more through an amp)

That was a Tele, too. Keep in mind that was a Si FF, but it gives you a mild reference.

I never used a fuzz until I built that thing... enjoy the new time-draining addiction lol.
