Adding status LED to EH Poly-

So I want to disconnect the on/off switch from my polychorus and use that led as a status indicator. I've read from previous posts that I would need a 4pdt switch but I don't understand why as there is a whole row not in use on the 3pdt already there. Example

1 4 7
2 5 8
3 6 9

In my pedal, lugs 4 5 and 6 have nothing connected to them. Isn't it possible to use that row to switch the led? Or am I missing something big here.

Any thoughts? I haven't messed with this pedal in a couple weeks and now I think I screwed it up (no effect signal)

I can't for the life of me find a schematic. Lesson learned-> take pics of your work before you take it apart, especially if you haven't a clue what you're doing...

Interupt the black wire going from the LED back to the board, with the free pole on the switch
