What do you think about this board mounting idea?

I was thinking, if you had very little space to mount a compact board (smd or what have you) board, and couldn't make room for a large mounting post, you could use this idea with a very small/fine machine screw and a hard plastic sleeve, all that would need to be accurate is the length and levelness of cut on the sleeve's ends

idealy the blob of expoxy would cease before the natual apex of the bolt's head so the resting place of the sleeve would be consistent and not dependent on the area covered by epoxy

this allows for more space because some nuts can be as little as 3mm across, which would take up far less room than a bolthead, and also it is very hard to find coupling nuts in such small measurements to allow for this small a machine bolt

I've ruled out using another bolt to serve as the standoff as it would slip overtime and be very hard to place accuratly in the onset

i like your idea. the only thing i'd change or suggest is to use nuts instead of the plastic sleeve. you could use a nut above and below the board.

I was going to use a system like this...but I didn't want the nuts to loosen over time and I wanted them all at the same height...I ultimately went with metal standoffs glued down.  But if you are going to do it this way, some thread lock or some lock washers would be helpful.
