Hello,
I recently offered to try and fix the reverb on my girlfriend's VS Musician amp.  The amp worked fine, just no reverb!
I friend told me to switch the rca wires and see if the reverb worked that way.  When I tried this, the amp just let out a loud hum and then smoked!  I think it blew a diode, D3.  Does anyone have a schematic or info on this amp?  Any suggestions on how to fix it, or the type of diode it is?  I think it was the diode but I'm not sure, it could have been a cap below it on the board.  It was in the power amp board.  Any help, insight info or links would be much appreciated!!!
Thanks,

Sir H C

I forget the name of the company (MAJ maybe) who has all the stuff left from when HH went under years back.   Schematics and the like.

I don't have a schematic but I'll try to explain what I think has happened, that might help you reduce your search.

Keep in mind this is my best guess.  The reverb drive coil is usually isolated from ground/chassis.  The reverb receive coil is often connected to ground/chassis.  When you swapped the reverb coils you have shorted the reverb drive circuit output to ground and that has blown something.  I would start by looking around the relay drive circuit for blown stuff (and replace anything else that is blown) - it will be some sort of amplifier.
