I have a 10 small aluminum hammond box that I want to get professionally cut and drilled  (there will be a slide pot in there).  I have a .dxf drawing.  I have been sending this out for quotes but the prices are 2 crazy. About $250 setup fee and $25 per box afterwards. I remember reading here that someone got this done for $60.  I searched but can not find that post.  Any help would be great. Thanks.

Any time a mfg. company has to set up to make a small quantity it's going to cost alot, but that's way out of line.
How about your local vo-tech school or somewhere that trains people in mfg......if that's even done anymore.
You could try a local small mfg. place....I used to run a machine shop and we often did small jobs cheap.
I wish I was into all this back then, I could have made dozens of amp chassis and fx boxes for nothing.
Anyway, EH sells pre-drilled boxes for like $5. They may have a layout you can use.

These guys drill boxes that they sell, but they will drill them custom to your specs. They may do your boxes for you.

+1!  Kirk and Connie Midkiff are top notch!  Powdercoating and silkscreening too.  Very good prices.

+1 on PedalPartsPlus, but you could also see if there's  vocational school in your area that would let their students do it for practice. I've seen this a lot in my town.
