Reverse Power Booster harmonics question....

Reading this lab note on the AMZ site:

It states that when driven to clipping this transistor configuration produces an interesting mess of harmonics. Has anyone built this? What kind of sound does it have?
I only have jfets for breadboarding at the moment and I'm just curious.
