Bass pre amp for recording?

I recently dug out my old Craig Anderton Dual Filter Voicing Unit, and I was wondering how it would be as a direct preamp for bass. It has two tunable Bandpass Filters with level controls (no Q and no cut) and a direct level control. It would seem that it might be kinda cool on bass, especially running it at +/- 15vdc for lots of headroom.

I used to use it as the main tone shaper for my guitar rig in the 90s. I haven't used it since.
