Hello, this is my first post here  ;D.

I need a booster like treble booster with adjustable frequency option. I want to set high pass filter frequency (shelving frequency) between 400 Hz and 1 KHz. I'm good at electronics, can desing (mostly logic circuits and microcontrollers) and build own circuits (diy pcb and soldering skills) but never designed  an audio circuit before. I need some ideas about where to start. By the way, I'm planing to use FETs, I have some j201 around.

Another question: I modified my Digitech Death Metal pedal, may I post a short article about how to modify it?

Thanks, in advance.

  Don't we all !  ;D
I want to set high pass filter frequency (shelving frequency) between 400 Hz and 1 KHz.
You're probably as good or better at math than I, speaker tone and tweeking aside...adjustable frequency option makes the math-less equations less dependant on good math skills.

You'll probalby learn a few things quickly...

FAQ, GEO, ROG, any of the links...etc.

Fine FET my friend ! Thing is with Jfets..there's ~no current at the gate so bass rolling off there isn't easy like putting a smaller cap on the input like a bipolar transistor, bass can be rolled off but after amplifying, but to get signiff treble 'boost' takes such a dinky cap at input I gave up...and went with capless input like other Jfet designs.
  See Fetzer Valve, Strato-blaster ...

I have no particular interest except a small passing curiosity..

Thank you guys. Omega looks like it does the job. I'll check other links as well to gather more information. Thank you again.
