Keeley DS-1 Ultra Mod

Hi I want to do just the ultra mod where a red LED is added in series with D4 on the DS-1.
How can I wire a switch to toggle that on and off.  I just want it to where basically when the switch is one way, the LED is added in series and when the switch is the other way, D4 is put back to it's original state.
Here's a diagram I have found but Im not sure if it does what I want.

Oops sorry, I just re-read the link I posted.  I says that D5 has to be changed too.  DOes this have to be changed to make the Ultra mod?  If so, how would I wire the Ultra mod on and off?
