I am building a GGG BSIaB2 and got my board populated last night and somehow, someway ended up with a 1uF electrolytic non-polar capacitor as opposed to a film one. Non of my local stores has the correct part and I'd hate to order one silly part online.

So what happens if I use the electrolytic as opposed to the film cap? I mean, they are the same value?!?!

Enlighten me oh great ones.

It'll work as long as it's non-polar.

SWEET! that's what I thought, but figured I'd ask anyways.

Let us know how it goes - I built one about a year ago and I had buzz/hum that I never could get rid of.  I may go back to it kind of started doing Tube stuff - building a Firefly at the moment.  I have about 2 other pedals that I need to finish plus a breadboarded a Ruby but never soldered it up on anything (Perf, IC perf, Bug, etc).  I'll prob build it with a Grace/big daddy front end or maybe a another dist pedal front.  That's after I finish the Firefly.

Let us know how the BSIAB2 turns out though, I suppose I'll have to rip mine apart to figure it out.  I have it in a BB enclosure.
