Seems like the search function only turns up dead links for the fabled and storied "Miss Piggy" fuzz schematic.  Since it was way before my FX building phase, can anyone post a link to the above fuzz or help a brother piggyback some Si transistors?
(I did find the Belgian link with the fuzzy picture but I'm going blind trying to see what the heck he is trying to show)

AHA!
Okay, I reread the "8-pin socket" thing and it finally made sense.
Thanks.

Okay, I reread the "8-pin socket" thing and it finally made sense.
Thank you for reading !! Try it out...works great.
I subsequently started using full sockets and designing layouts around them, instead of weakening the socket structure [most of them lean over and bendy bendy when cut in 1/2 and used], I just assign any extra open lugs to...something like a staging or input cap...I find a reason to excuse having the full socket in besides they look, feel and sometimes last better.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.
