I'm building a two channel Soldano SLO style pre-amp into a large hammond stomp box.  The circuit uses 5 triode, the last being a cathode follower, so  I bought some of the ZTX... (the number escapes me) from R.G. Keen's "Mosfet Follies".

My question is, in a sense, regarding the output impedance of a Source Follower in this configuration.  I believe someone told me that a CF stage looked like about 33K to the circuit it is driving.  If the SF is much lower I could (should?) put a 33K in series to help make sure the tone stack responds normally.   I will need to pad the output down any way (to interface with other pedals) so maybe I split the 100K Source resister into a 33K and a 68K with the tone stacks will help drop some volume?

Any thoughts?
