BSIAB2 light "on"

My BSIAB2 from GGG sounds good, but I have noticed that the power light will always come on, even without a cord plugged into the input jack, like most pedals I know of.  Not that the light is always on, but I can simply stomp the switch, even without a plug in it, and the light comes on.  Thus, I think it may be constantly draining on the battery, as I recently had to put a new 9V into it after not that much use.  Any suggestions?

Sounds like you wired the battery wrong. Firstly, check the battery earth is connected to the sleeve of the input jack and not the ring.

does the actual effect still work when there's nothing plugged in too? or is it just the LED?

a hahaha..... nahh.. im kidding. the BSIAB circuit doesn't actually draw much current (minus the LED) and can keep running for days and days as long as there's no light on. so yes, it's possibly always running. so you either wired the LED wrong, or you wired the LED and the circuit wrong.
