Hi everybody,

First sorry for my English, but I'm french... (nobody's perfect !!!! :icon_lol: :icon_lol:)
A friend of mine gave me a "peak altas component analyser" and I have a question.
The Hfe on the analyser is it the "real" Hfe ? I mean for the germanium devices with leakage...
Or do I need to calculate it with the leakage value ?
I have a bunch of transistors I've tested with the geofx system ( R.G. Keen), but the values are quite different with the "peak".
Witch value is the good one ?
Thanks a lot.

Mickael.

Here is the extract from the Atlas manual - you need to check that the test voltages are the same between the Geofx analyser and this one by the looks of things;

DC current gain is simply the ratio of the collector
current to the base current for a particular operating
condition. The Atlas measures HFE at a collector
current of 2.50mA and a collector-emitter voltage
of between 2V and 3V. The gain of all transistors
can vary considerably with collector current, collector voltage and also temperature. The
displayed value for gain therefore may not represent the gain experienced at other collector
currents and voltages.

Thanks Mick !!!
Any User of the tester ?
