Hey guys,

I had a quick question...

What types of DC Jacks should I use, and how do you know exactly which wall wart will fit the DC Jack... is there some sort of standard for the sizes?

sorry its such a lame question

2.1mm is the standard Boss-type barrel connector that most companies use (apart from EH and some others, who insist on using those damn mini jacks).

Personally, I find the boss-type swtiching 2.1mm sockets (available from SmallBear and others) are the best. Because they are plastic, they are isolated from the chassis, which is a definite bonus in my view.

What you need to look out for with a wall wart is that it 1) has the 2.1mm size connector (which is likely - this size is probably the most common), 2) that the polarity of the connector is the most common configuration of tip negative, sleeve positive, and 3) that it is rated for the correct voltage and max current rating. Make sure your stompbox is wired the same (9v in to the board is wired to the sleeve connector of the DC socket) and you'll be golden.
