Found these today when I was in Active Electronics. Had to buy one. It'll make the perfect tap tempo switch, screwed straight to the surface of the board. Made by LKG Industries in Rockford, IL. It was $8.00 CAD and labelled as an "Automotive Push Button Switch". It's momentary. If you scroll down a bit in this catalog page you can see it:

Very bottom of the page, left side. Button is about 3/4" diameter. Nice and big. Not exactly Cornish, but it's getting close. :)

I'll have to check again, but I always assumed that Cornish used standard Carling-style switches with a "donut" (wood?) surrounding them.

EDIT:
Ahhhhhh I see what you're talking about. Are those just soft covers over metal switches?

Could be.

It's a hard plastic button. Spring loaded (it's momentary). Very sturdy.

Does anybody know of anything like this that is DPDT? Would be nice for hooking to tap tempo pedals up (one on each side).

You could build up a DPDT (or NPDT really) with this switch as the trigger a the Wicked Switch.
